We safety test all products for irritation and skin sensitization. As the term "hypoallergenic" has no federal standards that govern the use of the term, we do not make that claim. If you're highly sensitive to any ingredients, it's best to patch test any formula first, or consult your dermatologist.

As the term "non-comedogenic" (won't clog or block the pores on your skin) has no federal standards that govern the use of the term, we do not make that claim. No, we don't test on animals. In fact, Huron is Certified Cruelty-Free under the Leaping Bunny Program. 

The Leaping Bunny Program, operated by the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics (CCIC), promotes a single comprehensive standard that guarantees a product to be free of animal testing. 

Additionally, we are registered and recognized with PETA as a Global Animal Test–Free and Vegan brand, as our entire product line is free of animal-derived ingredients.

Yes - Huron follows strict protocols to ensure the safety and integrity of all our products. The FDA does regulate cosmetics under the authority of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act) and the Fair Packaging and Labeling Act (FPLA), which we adhere to.

Yes. Our packaging materials are 100% recyclable.

Our fragrances are a blend of synthetic (man-made) and natural compounds, free of parabens, phthalates and other potentially harmful chemicals. Some synthetic molecules are structurally identical to ones found in nature, and often have a lower impact on the environment to create. 

Additionally, many of these man-made fragrance notes started as naturals and have had their chemical structure modified. This allows for a greater, more finely-tuned character and a more unique fragrance experience for our customers.

Our Eye Stick 2.0 has both a "now and later" benefit. Instantly, the serum helps to cool, refresh and energize the undereye area. Longer-term, the potent plant-based complex works over time to fight puffiness, eye bags, alleviate dark circles and smooth fine lines. For best treatment results, use at least twice daily for 6-8 weeks.

To use, turn the dispenser upside down and let the serum flow downwards towards the stainless steel ball. The serum coats the ball as it starts to rotate. When slight pressure is applied during application, the ball is able to spread an even layer of serum across the skin.

Yes - A gentle, sulfate-free cleanser like our Face Wash helps remove daily buildup of dirt, oil and pollution without overstripping, and our Face Moisturizer is lightweight and won't feel heavy or greasy, great for all skin types.

When you overstrip, it can cause over-production of sebum and oil output, so gentle is the way to go. Additionally, the mild polishing of Bamboo powder and fruit enzymes helps unclog pores and smooth skin texture.

Cleansing the face with Face Wash before shaving helps rid the skin of dirt, oil and debris, making skin cleaner and smoother for an easier shave. Smoother skin will help your shave glide closer and smoother.

We recommend applying our Face Moisturizer after cleansing, and right after shaving. The cool, refreshing feel, plus the super hydrators in the formula help relieve any tightness or dryness that may occur from the shaving process.

Tip: If you do have some facial hair, our Face Moisturizer is also great to help combat beard itch and keep skin feeling great.

Yes! In fact, it’s recommended to protect your face with a broad-spectrum sunscreen year-round, as the amount of UVA rays stays constant no matter the season. 

Our SPF Face Moisturizer was formulated to protect against the sun’s harmful rays, while also having the benefits of a standard face moisturizer: it protects against signs of aging such as fine lines & wrinkles, retains the skin’s moisture levels, and leaves your skin feeling light and fresh.

The airless pump on your bottle needs to be “primed” before your SPF Moisturizer will come out. On first use, press the pump 8-10 times until product comes out, then you’ll be good to go the rest of the way.

The nice thing about airless pumps - not a single drop will go to waste.

Great question! The term “broad spectrum” refers to protection against both UVA and UVB rays. UVB is the stronger of the two and causes sunburn; UVA rays are responsible for premature aging. However both types of rays have been known to lead to skin cancer. The qualification of Broad Spectrum means that it is FDA-approved against both types.

While you’re looking for the broad-spectrum label, it’s also a good idea to check the SPF (Sun Protection Factor), which is the sunscreen’s ability to block UVB rays. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, SPF 30 filters out 97% of harmful rays, which is the recommended starting point for SPF levels.

We recommend that you apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure, and reapply at least every 2 hours during prolonged sun exposure. The amount that reapplication is needed depends on the level of sun exposure and your individual skin type.

Our SPF Face Moisturizer is not water-resistant; we recommend reapplying after sweating or swimming.

The scent of the entire Hair collection shares a common thread with our Body Wash, but a lighter, cleaner subtler version of energetic citrus, fresh juniper and aromatic greens.

Yes! Using a sulfate-free yet moisturizing and nourishing Shampoo such as ours not only helps maintain healthy hair and scalp, but can help reduce itch and dryness on the scalp. Our Conditioner does not leave any heavy film or residue, keeping hair and scalp fresh and moisturized. Perfect for a dry, itchy or flaky scalp.

Additionally, the sulfate-free Shampoo & Conditioner are not harsh, stripping or drying. In fact, they are nourishing and hydrating; performance attributes that actually help color-treated hair.

Our Shampoo is formulated for daily, frequent use, however that all comes down to personal preference, especially if you have oily buildup, or use a lot of styling products.

The Conditioner can be used daily, especially if you're prone to dryness, damage, or coarse, frizzy hair.

Yes - The ingredients such as Shea Butter, Coconut Oil and Glycerin will help smooth and moisturize, while Amino Acids help smooth frizz and coarseness. It also contains Carnauba wax which will help keep hair in place.

Both our Body Wash and Bar Soap share similar performance benefits: sulfate-free cleansing, great lather and hydrated skin- as well as our customer favorite scents. It comes down to personal choice around form and convenience (some people prefer bar soap for traveling, for example).

We suggest keeping it on our Soap Saver- allowing it to dry faster which adds maximum longevity. However, the ergonomic shape allows the bar to dry quicker (and not sit in its own suds)

Our Bar Soaps are triple-milled, meaning the process produces a denser, more refined bar. This helps each bar last longer, while creating a rich, creamy lather. Typically each bar can last between 3- 4 weeks- but longevity depends on many factors including how many times a day you use it, the amount of lather you create (the friction from a mesh sponge, loofah or even body hair creates more lather, meaning faster usage). Keeping your Bar Soap dry after each use will also keep it around a lot longer.

Our deodorant is aluminum-free and therefore is not an antiperspirant. Traditional antiperspirants contain aluminum in order to block your pores to disrupt your body's natural sweating ability. All our products only use clean ingredients and are aluminum-free.

First, make sure that you are applying the Deo to dry underarms and storing it in a dry location. Keeping the Deo dry will ensure it doesn't get sticky when not in use.

While using the Deo, make sure that you twist the stick back down after using. This will help it stay clear of the cap and its protective lining!

This will depend on personal taste & frequency of sprays – we recommend 2-3 sprays per use. Sprayed directly on skin once daily at this frequency, the bottle can last you up to a year!
